More than 75 pounds of plasticene went into this spot! We made several brains from blue plasticene, all in various stages of collapse and spasm. The cyc wall was covered in turqoise clay. Look for the stipple effect at the end: five animators standing around the set poked the clay with paintbrush ends frame by frame to make it happen. When the spot was done, the paint scrapers we used to smooth the clay were sharp as knives! Fun to make, but very exhausting...
