This was a collaborative effort between MANY people. Some shot video and photoanimation in Bombay, while art directors from Bombay were in the studio advising on the cultural relevancy of everything from colour to fabric, jewelry, and fast food. Animators and compositors in several cities and countries worked to create the 1,000,000,000 elements. As in the other "lyric Logo" spots we did for Coca-cola Japan and South Africa (Coca-cola logo centre frame surrounded by changing graphics), there were no boards in the beginning: just lyrics. Once the work flow began, I created thumbnail boards to rough in structure, timing sequences to the sound track to create an animatic. As art pieces were completed, we began to composite, using the animatic as a map. All in all, a great process.
