Dirk Van de Vondel is a Belgian animator born in the Congo and living in Barcelona. Since the early part of his career working at top London animation studios, Dirk's style has always been rooted in fine art and innovation, with an inspired sense of movement and transformative beauty. In addition to constant experimentation, he has directed short films and a large number of commercials for companies such as Nokia, Coca-cola and the Tate Gallery. Tate is part of the MOMA?s permanent collection. Dirk also co-runs a fabulous animation festival in Barcelona called Xinacittį (pronounced chee-na-chee-TAH).
